Take a look at some of the wonderful reviews we’ve had from happy customers in the past
It was a job to find a pub midweek that was open and we just wanted something for a business lunch. What a good choice this turned out to be with the food cooked to order and excellent quality. Would certainly recommend and if we didn’t live so far away would be returning often!-jamessals
““Amazing food lovely people!””
Popped straight over to this pub yesterday after finding it last year. Amazing burgers beautiful beer and wonderful people, not to mention the glorious puds! Will be going back as soon as we can may even take a day out when home to go over not too far from Dudley side of the midlands. Fully recommend to everyone!!-Lillie A
“Little Cotswold Gem”
Lovely cosy pub in a beautiful cotswold street. Perfect for lazy weekends, especially when the fire is on. Friendliest staff that you could ever hope for. Wish all pubs were like this.-SarahGB
“What a find”
Wow, what a find. Cirencester has a lot of expensive places to eat and we were looking for somewhere at a reasonable price with good quality pub food and the Nelson Inn proved to be just that. Amy behind the bar is a star, she is one of the friendliest bar staff you could wish to meet. As new residents to the area, she was a mind of helpful and useful information. To the food, we both had Chicken Tikka, mine with rice and naan bread, my wife with chips and naan. We both said it is the best Tikka we had come across and the chips were especially good.
Thoroughly recommend it for good value pub food + great San Miguel larger.-RPKJSK
“Well run pub good food and drink selection, love the music on Sunday nights”
Food is mostly pub staples like Full English Breakfast, Burgers, Chicken in a Basket etc. I regularly eat here and have always had good food and good service. Bill & Sue do a great job of welcoming everyone into the pub pool tournaments, karaoke, quizzes and live music on Sunday nights. Beer from £2.50 and cider from £2.80 a pint. A proper pub with a proper landlord and landlady that makes everyone feel like a local.-Andrew H
“Friendly service and delicious food”
Great and friendly service. Delicious food. Worth visiting but be aware that you may need satnav or directions to find this pub as it’s not on the main road but is worth finding-TAIRedditch

Not a pretentious pub just a pub!

“Awesome place, great ale, brilliant food, good value”
Google’d ‘Cirencester pubs’ and this was the first search to pop up, great decision to come, it was empty but it didn’t matter.
The woman at the bar was friendly and welcoming and recommended a local ale “Bankers Draft” – guest ale £2.50
The food was great, the rump steak was locally sourced and had great flavour.-Claire C
“A Great Find”
We were walking in this lovely area of town admiring the old housing and wondering how we would be able to pay the inflated prices for a meal, when we came upon this pub/restaurant. We had to wait a few minutes until it was opened, but the wait was worth it. The pork burger was excellent as was the ale. Staff/owners were friendly and serve great food at a decent price. Heartily recommend!-301J
